Welcome to Tenterden Lions Club which was formed in 1957 and chartered in 1958. We are celebrating  50 years of service and this year's activities are highlighted on our 50th Anniversary page.

We are a group of like minded people who serve the community by giving of our time to local needs and raising money for local, national & international good causes. We are delighted that we have 2 new members. If you would like to know more please contact us.

The 2008 Tenterden May Fair benefited from a lovely sunny day. The Lions were there with a cuddly lion tombola & darts game and the Lions Ladies ran a second hand book stall & children's tombola.

In 2007, Father Christmas was on his Float from 4th to 21st  December. We are grateful for your generosity in raising our best collection total yet. For more information please click on Christmas Float.

Earlier in 2007, an excellent day out was had by many as the Tour de France cycle race sprinted through Tenterden on Sunday July 8th. The Lions were able to help by providing car parking and at the same time raising money for good causes. Our thanks to all who supported us. For more information click Tour de France

The Lions had stalls at the Tenterden May Fair and despite rather dull and windy conditions raised over £300 from the generous folk who came along - Thank you. The vintage bus, kindly supplied by Stagecoach,
provided rides down to the Tenterden Vineyard and back with donations from the public & Tenterden Vineyard going to Demelza House.

The Vintage Bus took more and more passengers as the day progressed                        A Pride Of Lions at Tenterden May Fayre 2007!!

Congratulations to the Lions Ladies who with their stalls at the May Fair have now raised over £2000  for 'Wheels for the World'.  Wheels for the World distributes wheelchairs, refurbished in UK prisons, to people in developing countries.
